The manufacturing technique of phosphate refractory bricks is same as phosphate castable. With rapid development recent years, phosphate refractory brick is remarkably effective in cement kiln and electric furnace roof.
Phosphate-bonded high alumina brick is a kind of chemical bonded refractory brick made of dense super grade or first grade high alumina clinker as the main raw material, phosphate solution or aluminum phosphate solution as the binder, after semi-dry press molding, heat treatment in 400~600. It belongs to the non-fired brick, in order to avoid the product contraction in the process of use, the general need to introduce heating expansion raw materials, such as blue pinstone, silica and so on. Compared with the ceramic combination fired high aluminum brick, its peeling resistance is better, but its softening temperature under load is low, corrosion resistance is poor, so a small amount of fused corundum, mullite, etc., should be added to strengthen the matrix. Phosphate-bonded high alumina brick is widely used in cement rotary kiln, electric furnace top and other furnace parts.
